Industrial Plumber
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Access all areas of the plant and grounds to accomplish assigned duties.
- Actively pursue and correct problems with plumbing components and systems, including but not limited to: steam boilers, compressed air equipment, sump pumps, irrigation, and all associated piping systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair all facility, grounds, and industrial plumbing and piping systems.
- Thoroughly understand pump theory, operation, and repair.
- Thoroughly understand pneumatic principles, application, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Have thorough knowledge of pipe threading and fitting (iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC).
- Be proficient in using PRO Press.
- Have the ability to weld (gas and arc) and solder.
- Have the ability to sanitary weld to certification standards.
- Be capable of identifying and ordering parts and materials from manufacturer manuals and prints.
- Communicate both orally and in writing.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as required.
- Operate and maintain boiler systems.
- Operate and maintain refrigeration systems.
- Absolutely ensure compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbers License is required.
- A certified sanitary welder is preferred.
- An EPA Universal certification is preferred.
Pay and Schedule
$38.00 - $48.47 per hour.
