About the role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to apply paint and primer to parts and equipment, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets both company and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Apply paint and primer to parts according to quality standards, color specifications, and timeframes.
- Maintain attention to detail, ensuring a consistent and professional finish.
- Monitor and manage paint supplies, ordering as needed.
- Cook up and lead other team members in the painting area.
- Transport completed parts to stockroom or assembly.
- Operate and maintain paint spraying and booth equipment.
- Prepare and maintain equipment through sanding, degreasing, and mixing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the paint booth and surrounding area.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Aid in documentation related to new paints, thinners, and chemicals.
- Provide support in assembly when available.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in industrial painting, machine painting, or auto body painting.
- Skills: Proficient in using painting tools and equipment (sprayers, brushes, mixers); strong communication skills and the ability to work with all team members; ability to troubleshoot painting and quality issues; ability and willingness to wear required PPE including masks and/or respirator as needed.
