Industrial Painter / Assembly
HIGHLIGHTS
Hourly Rate: $21.00/hr - $24.50/hr
Shift: 1st Shift; Monday-Thursday; 5a-330p
DUTIES
- Perform production operations including cleaning, powder coating, and assembly of products in accordance with documented processes, safety standards, and quality requirements, using hand tools, material handling equipment, and machinery.
- Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency by maintaining a clean and organized workstation, performing autonomous maintenance, following safety procedures, utilizing SAP for documentation and material tracking, and supporting root cause analysis of nonconforming materials.
- Support production planning and inventory control by organizing work based on production orders, identifying and picking required parts, communicating shortages or stockouts, assisting with cycle counts, and covering other work areas as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and collaboration by participating in Lean/5S activities, Daily Management System meetings, improvement projects, prototype development, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Education & technical background: High School diploma or GED required; coursework in Automotive or Advanced Manufacturing Technology (12+ credit hours) or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Manufacturing & mechanical experience: 4+ years in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years of mechanical experience (e.g., small engine repair, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, presses, powder coating); experience with SAP and production systems preferred.
- Technical & analytical skills: Proficient with mechanical hand and power tools; strong math, reading, and computer skills; ability to analyze problems, interpret technical documentation, and work accurately with attention to detail.
- Professional & interpersonal abilities: Dependable, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills; able to train and share knowledge, collaborate across teams, take initiative, and continuously learn and improve using tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and CAD systems.
