Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial motor and drive systems
- Use diagnostic tools and laptop-based software to identify and resolve issues
- Conduct equipment start-ups and perform warranty service
- Communicate repair needs and service findings with customers and the service manager
- Maintain accurate daily records of time, service calls, and expenses
- Manage parts inventory on the service truck
- Keep work areas clean and presentable after each job
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot from electrical wiring schematics
Requirements
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong communicators with excellent customer-service skills
- Mechanically and electrically inclined
- Eager to continue training and growing their technical expertise
Preferred Technical Experience
- Generator, motor, drive, and AC system diagnostics
- AC/DC electrical systems and HVAC troubleshooting
- Basic diesel engine operation and maintenance
- Power generation equipment (3+ years preferred)
- Welding (a strong plus)
Preferred Certifications
- EPA 608 Certification
- Motor vibration analysis certification
- Welding certifications (bonus)

Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for long periods; occasionally sit

- Maintain close vision and adjust focus as needed for detailed work
