About the role
The role is focused on improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring documentation excellence, and strengthening problem-solving maturity in the rail manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and govern high-quality process documentation
- Improve productivity and optimize manufacturing processes
- Create and govern high-quality process documentation
- Ensure documentation excellence and strengthen problem-solving maturity
- Play a critical role in improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring documentation excellence, and strengthening problem-solving maturity across the manufacturing line
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in Manufacturing background in the railway industry
- Experience on Rolling stock manufacturing (preferred)
- Technical expertise in MIG/TIG welding, distortion/deformation control, and stainless-steel fabrication
- Strong industrial process engineering skills, including: MTM (Method-Time Measurement), Time studies, Line balancing
- Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- Strong competency in Work Instruction writing and documentation governance
- Knowledge of: PFMEA, Root cause analysis, 8D/PDCA structured problem solving
- Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
- Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (Creo, Windchill, Teamcenter, DELMIA…)
- Lean Manufacturing certification (preferred)
- Green Belt or equivalent certification in structured problem solving (preferred)
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Field
- English (read, written, spoken)
