About the role

The role is focused on improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring documentation excellence, and strengthening problem-solving maturity in the rail manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and govern high-quality process documentation
  • Improve productivity and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Create and govern high-quality process documentation
  • Ensure documentation excellence and strengthen problem-solving maturity
  • Play a critical role in improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring documentation excellence, and strengthening problem-solving maturity across the manufacturing line

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in Manufacturing background in the railway industry
  • Experience on Rolling stock manufacturing (preferred)
  • Technical expertise in MIG/TIG welding, distortion/deformation control, and stainless-steel fabrication
  • Strong industrial process engineering skills, including: MTM (Method-Time Measurement), Time studies, Line balancing
  • Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling
  • Strong competency in Work Instruction writing and documentation governance
  • Knowledge of: PFMEA, Root cause analysis, 8D/PDCA structured problem solving
  • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
  • Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (Creo, Windchill, Teamcenter, DELMIA…)
  • Lean Manufacturing certification (preferred)
  • Green Belt or equivalent certification in structured problem solving (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Field
  • English (read, written, spoken)
