Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician
NYCOA seeks a highly motivated Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance Technician to join their team in Manchester, New Hampshire. The role involves repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure continued plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, pumps, vessels, tanks, and conveyor systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Follow directions in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, including proper Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
- Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts and devices in control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Repair and replace defective parts and install special functional and structural parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain functionality of equipment by lubricating, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance (PM’s).
- Assist in the repair of electrical equipment as needed with qualified electricians.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience preferred, but willing to train the right entry-level candidate.
- Able to withstand constant standing, reaching, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and sitting.
- Able to lift 55 pounds, frequently lift and carry 25 pounds, and work on ladders, staging, and related equipment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, collaborate well with others, and be a team player.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE and a respirator without restriction.

Pay
Starting wage of $24.79–$29.94 per hour, with overtime opportunities. This is a represented position.
Schedule
Full-time, day shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM.
