Industrial Mechanic/Maintenance

About the Role

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our corrugated packaging facility, you will play a critical role in keeping equipment operating at OEM standards. You'll partner with maintenance leadership, machine operators, and vendors to maximize uptime, improve reliability, and safely support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, wear measurements, alignments, and component adjustments.
• Monitor equipment performance by observing operations, vibration levels, and machine conditions.
• Support plant operations by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair:
  • Mechanical systems
  • Mechanical drives
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Boiler systems
• Ability to read and reference equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Experience installing, maintaining, testing, and calibrating basic electrical components safely.
• Strong understanding of precision maintenance practices.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, and other industrial equipment when required.
• Experience using maintenance work order systems.
• Strong computer skills, including updating parts inventories, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
• Working knowledge of 5S principles.
• Willingness to participate in company-paid training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, with 5+ years preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on large industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Power transmission systems
  • Gearboxes
  • Mechanical drives
  • Fluid drive systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in corrugated packaging, paper manufacturing, or other high-volume manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Pay

The starting rate is $31.02 - $39.30 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.

Schedule

Union Plant. Must be flexible to work either shift:

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime.
