Primary Responsibilities
- Ensures all equipment documentation is up to date and maintained on a regular basis, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic drawing updates.
- Oversees and performs existing Preventative Maintenance as well as contracted maintenance programs including production and facility equipment.
- Leads production equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Oversees facility maintenance of all incoming utilities, interior and exterior lighting, building security systems, fire protection systems, HVAC, and waste/recycling management.
- Schedules the daily resources based on planned maintenance activities.
- PARTNERS WITH ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT ON PROJECT PLANNING ITEMS INCLUDING CAPITAL EQUIPMENT, UPGRADINGS, ROUTINE, AND NON-RUTINE MAINTENANCE.
- Researches the main down time contributors, provides an assessment and schedules required action plans to eliminate future issues.
- Promptly addresses emergency breakdowns including root cause assessment and ensures all repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
- Maintains a critical parts list and inventory that is to be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
- PLACES SUPPLY ORDERS AS NEEDED.
- MENTORS JUNIOR TEAM MEMBERS AND ASSISTS MANAGEMENT IN VARIOUS TOPICS OF TRAINING.
- CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS IMPROVING THE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED PROCEDURES.
- TRAIN PRODUCTION WORKERS ON ROUTINE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE.
- PROVIDES MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE INFORMATION BY ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND RESPONDING TO REQUESTS.
- PREPARES MAINTENANCE REPORTS BY COLLECTING, ANALYZING, AND SUMMARIZING INFORMATION AND TRENDS.
- ENSURES ALL EMPLOYEE ACCIDENTS ARE INVESTIGATED PROMPTLY AND CONFIRMS REPORTS ARE SENT TO MANAGEMENT.
Essential Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in an applicable field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required; continuous Operations a plus.
- Electrical and Mechanical knowledge regarding production/facility equipment is required.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints is required.
- PLC programming experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of common power and hand tools is required.
- Experience with electrical maintenance repair including low and high voltage equipment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work an altered schedule as needed, to accommodate business needs.
- Basic Math skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Physical Demands
- Ability to withstand periods sitting at a desk as needed.
- Occasional use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer.
- Frequent lifting objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
- Frequent carrying objects weighing up to and including 25 pounds.
