An Industrial Maintenance Tech will maintain and repair factory equipment, industrial machinery, and associated electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motors.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
  • Industrial Machinery Assembler Mechanic:
    • Repair, install, adjust or maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
    • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
    • Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
    • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
    • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
    • Record parts or materials used an order or put in a requisition for new parts or materials, as necessary.
    • Record repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, and electrical testing equipment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  • Ability to enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
  • Ability to demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.

The current hours are 4 on 4 off days but once the whole crew is established it will be 4 on 4 off rotating from days to nights.
