Job Summary
The successful candidate must be willing to train on 1st shift for 1 month 7AM to 3PM. Responsibilities
- Provide necessary services to repair and maintain the facility and equipment to enable the manufacture of products and meet customer and internal specifications with regard to quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
- Actively engage in workplace safety improvement initiatives.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- Order parts / supplies as needed.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 5 years of machine repair and industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong preference for advanced skills in both machine repair and PLC control systems repair and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose machine problems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to coordinate schedules with machine operators and troubleshoot problems.
- Computer skills required (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of flexographic presses is a plus!
