Industrial Maintenance Technician (Multiple Shifts)

Position Summary

Perform tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment, building maintenance, and specific projects. Ensure safety, quality, reliability, and customer service in the plant. Lead with the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrate core values.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems.
• Set up and use machine tools like lathe, grinder, drill press, and milling machine for repairs or fabrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Complete assigned work orders.
• Maintain the maintenance area in a clean and organized manner.
• Utilize maintenance systems for daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Document work order completion in systems.
• Support the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in and support plant initiatives.
• Organize and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices for food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient in welding, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer use knowledge and skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Flexible to work any shift as needed.
