Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials)

About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical and facility maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of manufacturing and facility equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues involving bearings, gearboxes, pumps, chain drives, and related components
- Plan, layout, and install mechanical devices and systems in compliance with regulatory and local codes
- Fabricate simple structures using welding or bolting based on prints and diagrams
- Read and interpret equipment schematics and service manuals
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow all plant safety policies, including LOTO and Confined Space Entry
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2 plus years of industrial maintenance experience with technical certification or 3 plus years of industrial maintenance experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Experience working with industrial control systems, including PLCs
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of measuring and diagnostic tools (tape measures, micrometers, voltage meters, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs unassisted
Schedule
Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM after initial training period
Pay
The salary range for this position is $27.00-$37.15 per hour plus $0.75 shift differential. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
