Responsibilities
As an Industrial Maintenance Tech, you will:
- Perform and complete a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the facility’s property and plant utility systems
- Maintain, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair facilities, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment to ensure the highest reliability, proper performance, and safe operation
- Perform spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition
- Service tools and equipment
- Auxiliary tasks such as conveyor belt repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor, and gearbox replacement, fork truck maintenance
- Accurately and consistently change out parts
- Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment
- Walk/stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout shift
- Frequent reaching overhead
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and perform required maintenance and service
- Can diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Is capable of providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment as necessary
- Has thorough understanding of the use of tools
- Has electrical and mechanical knowledge and skills
- Understands basic math
- Has basic construction knowledge
- Works well with others
- Completes work in a timely manner
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of technical, electrical, or mechanical experience; OR
- Completion of vocational or apprenticeship program
Physical Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Necessary to properly operate manual and electric power tools
- Necessary to work on scaffolding and roofs
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals in both indoor and outdoor construction
- Able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.
Pay and Schedule
Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 Hourly
Here’s when you will be working:
- This is a full-time career with Northeast Precast
- The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday beginning at 7 AM and ending at approximately 3:30 PM
- Overtime is expected to occur depending on project requirements
- This position may entail weekend work but only on occasion
