Industrial Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift

About the role

2nd Shift: 3pm–1am Monday–Friday, every other Saturday

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Apply advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Demonstrate advanced understanding of electrical safety, motor control circuits, and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, install new equipment, and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with Quality Assurance
• Train all levels of technicians in more complex tasks and skills
• Responsible for direct reports’ activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent relative experience
• 3–10 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out-of-state locations
• Ability to train all levels of Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
