Responsibilities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welders to perform preventative maintenance and moderately complex repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures.
- Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
- Ensure all repairs are documented in the CMMS.
- Responsible for adhering to Lippert core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives
- Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out/tag out program and hearing and eye protection policies.
- Required to request support, as necessary, from other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance leadership.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and participate in reviewing safety prior to it going live.
- Aid the machine operators with training and moderately complex troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide training or coaching to Maintenance Tech 1
Qualifications
- Work Experience: 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Education: Associate degree: Electrical-Mechanical, Industrial Mechanics or similar
- Computer Skills: CMMS, Microsoft Office
- Cross-functional skills: Ability to complete multiple job assignments including machine operation, fabrication, welding.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting
- Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to lift 100 pounds, walk, stand, bend and twist, climb ladders, work from elevated positions, operate fork, scissor and boom lifts, ability to see up close, in color and adjust focus, read schematics and blueprints.
