Industrial Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment.
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Fixes machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful manner, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical (motors, solenoids, etc.).
• Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic (air cylinders, electro-pneumatic solenoids, etc.).
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulics (cylinders, motors, solenoids, etc.).
• Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
• Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
• Light construction consisting of framing, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous repair duties.

• Experience using a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
• Multitasking, working independently, and within a team structure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance and troubleshooting is required.
• An intermediate electric maintenance knowledge is preferred.
