Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.)
• Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Select repair parts and update parts records
• Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding, brazing, and soldering
• Maintain and repair batteries and chargers
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids for troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for required maintenance and service
• Apply mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot and repair production machines
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements

• Tangibles: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors), multi-craft maintenance and repair, willingness to work under pressure, troubleshooting issues on a wide variety of equipment, ensuring maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability, responding to maintenance calls, inspecting machines, developing repair lists, identifying short-term and long-term repairs, treating all team members with the same level of service as consumers, flexibility, self-starter, safety focused
• Intangibles: Customer Service, Flexibility, Self-Starter, Safety Focused

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, 5 years equivalent experience
• Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
• Experience with C.M.M.S. software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order distribution systems)
• Understanding encoders and equipment timing
• Knowledge of Servo drives and motors
• Basic knowledge of logic software
• Strong knowledge of how components interact with PLC’s (photo eyes, proximity sensors, etc.)
