This position reports to the Maintenance Manager at QuickSnap in Greenwood, SC.
About the role
Perform entry-level to complex troubleshooting and repair on manufacturing equipment, electrical/electronic and mechanical systems. Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex equipment; assist in modifications to existing machinery and equipment to facilitate new production techniques and improve equipment reliability.
Training schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Must take on-call duty one day per week (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM). Training duration is 6 months to 1 year. After training, the position moves to a rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
- Understand and demonstrate fundamental concepts of mechanical and electrical maintenance at the component level.
- Demonstrate basic competency in at least one mechanical, electrical, or discipline (MED).
- Use basic problem-solving tools (e.g., why-why analysis, PPA, APS) independently to solve routine equipment issues.
- Solve routine equipment problems using sound troubleshooting approaches and recommend countermeasures for approval.
- Make decisions about system-level issues that may impact product quality or internal customer service; some decisions require independent judgment and risk management.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform cross-functional or interdepartmental communication related to maintenance activities.
- Write work procedures and trouble reports.
- Participate in projects under the direction of upper management.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of electro/mechanical systems.
- Investigate and secure relevant facts on malfunctioning machinery; discuss with team members to determine root cause and implement permanent countermeasures.
- Locate, install, maintain, test, and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment using procedures, specifications, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, PLC programs, and verbal/written instructions.
- Work within a strict Management of Change environment.
- Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance procedures and document details in Fujifilm’s CMMS (Maximo).
- Work off-hours, support emergency maintenance, and participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve goals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Follow Fujifilm’s Employee Code of Conduct Policy and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Follow hazardous waste handling, labeling, and storage rules and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Technical degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or apprenticeship.
- Mechanical/electrical technical degree preferred.
- Competency in the management of change process.
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good listening skills and ability to interpret information correctly.
- Ability to pass required safety training (e.g., lockout/tagout, hazard communication, ISO).
- Forklift certification and ability to operate powered forklift trucks.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment supporting all maintenance activities.
