Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role

Crafco, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing plant in Halls, TN. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility. They will perform necessary repairs and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely and is kept in overall good working order.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix mechanical issues
• Update equipment records
• Organize tools and work areas
• Follow safety protocols
• Collaborate with production teams and/or subject matter experts to minimize equipment downtime and optimize efficiency and dependability
• Rebuild/replace large pumps and motors used for asphalt manufacturing
• Maintain VFD and light electrical systems
• Perform conveyor maintenance and repair
• Maintain automated equipment, PLCs, sensors, and eyes
• Service oil heaters and heat trace systems
• Use MaintainX and Worximity programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of trade school OR related maintenance experience required
• HMI (Human Machine Interface) experience preferred
• Able to read and write English
• Knowledge of general shop math, reading charts, tables and drawings, and use of job-related tools, gauges and instruments
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, oil lines and automated equipment including servo motors, sensors, conveyors, and continuous equipment flow of a line run sealant manufacturing plant
• Familiarity with plumbing, heating, ventilation, electrical, and machine maintenance
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role including standing, squatting, stretching, lifting 25-60 lbs. or standing for long periods of time in potentially adverse conditions (semi-indoor/outdoor conditions)
• Willing to work overtime or various shifts, as needed
