Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role
This hands-on position involves installing, repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing grain handling equipment, including conveyors and legs that move bulk commodities such as wheat, corn, and soybeans. The role encompasses a variety of trades: mechanical, electrical and PLCs, welding and fabricating, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, concrete, and painting. Industrial Maintenance Technicians may work extended hours and callbacks on short notice.
Equipment used includes various diagnostic and repair tools.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, and refurbish grain handling equipment
- Perform mechanical, electrical (including PLCs), welding, fabricating, hydraulic, pneumatic, carpentry, concrete, and painting tasks
- Work extended hours and respond to callbacks on short notice
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Available to work overtime and weekends
- Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Physically strenuous work
- Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
- Work at heights
- Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (occasionally more)
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders
- Wear PPE as required by safety regulations
Pay
$26.00/hr and up, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
Schedule
1st shift, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed (including weekends).
