Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
  • Provide accurate estimates of any repairs needed.
  • Perform repairs and troubleshoot issues related to equipment, machinery, and building structures.
  • Maintain and repair welders, hand and power tools, hoists, saws and various other equipment.
  • Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs.
  • Aid in the setup and organization of workspaces, including moving and assembling furniture or equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis in accordance with written procedures and/or manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Track and log required daily/weekly/annual inspections.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area and keep inventory of all tools.
  • Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent - Technical or Vocational graduate preferred
  • At least 2+ years of maintenance experience, industrial facility preferred
  • Knowledge in single phase electrical is required (3-phase is a plus)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements including walking, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and lifting upward of 50 lbs
  • Must possess good working knowledge of welding and fabricating equipment
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Must display good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
