Industrial Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift (Levittown, PA)

About the role

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician in our Levittown, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. Your hourly pay will be $29 per hour with a $1 shift differential. The total hourly pay is $30 paid weekly with the opportunity for possible overtime. Your work schedule will be Sunday through Thursday from 2:45PM - 11:15PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/Printers)
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations
• Utilize inventory, PM schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing EAME
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair
• Perform all additional duties as required

Requirements

• 2 years or more direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment
• Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures
