Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift

About the role

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the PCA Box Plant in Reading, PA.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Work as part of a team to perform Preventive Maintenance Activities and respond to breakdown calls in a Production Environment.
• Train to develop skills in various crafts as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is preferred.
• The production schedule is 3 shifts, with placement on shifts based on plant needs and seniority.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic hand tools supplied by the company.
• Tool stipend or replacement for basic hand tools.
• All special and heavy tools provided by the company.
• Safety shoes and safety glass stipends provided by the company.

Pay

Starting salary range: $29-38 per hour.

Schedule

The production schedule is 3 shifts, with opportunities to change shifts based on organizational needs and production schedules.
