Industrial Maintenance Pasco All Shifts (Oct)

About the role

This position may be assigned to any of the following departments: Processing, Harvest, Warehouse, Rendering, Yards, or groundskeeping. The role requires the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for 10‑12 hours per day. Employees work in a meat‑processing environment exposed to blood, fat, bones, hair, and other cattle products, and must be prepared to work in inclement conditions ranging from hot to cold, humid to icy, and dusty, with temperatures between 20 °F and 100 °F.

Responsibilities

• Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production.
• Perform work involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and conveyor maintenance.
• Repair and maintain operating conditions of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems that occur during day‑to‑day facility operations.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
• Complete required daily documentation.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management to resolve mechanical failures.
• Read and follow manuals to repair equipment safely.
• Complete all required training and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand 10‑12 hours daily.
• Willingness to work in a meat environment and inclement conditions (hot, cold, humid, icy, dusty).
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proof of authorization to work legally in the United States.
• Pass a urinalysis screening as part of the post‑offer health assessment.
• Open to working any shift (days, nights, weekends) and available for overtime.
• Rehire eligibility: 180 days after last termination, maximum of two rehire opportunities.
• Relocation assistance: not eligible.
• May be subject to a background check; additional documentation will be provided if required.

Qualifications

• Either 12 months of industrial work experience or 6 months of continued education in at least two of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Plumbing, Welding, or Conveyor Maintenance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals and communicate effectively to resolve mechanical failures.

Pay

The base pay rate is $32.30 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is one component of Tyson’s total compensation package, which is determined by the candidate’s skills, market data, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

Schedule

Work shift: ALL SHIFTS (United States of America). The position requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
