Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
About the role
Poly-America, L.P., a leading plastics manufacturer, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join the Maintenance Department. The role involves maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and modifying industrial manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include documenting, recommending, and executing maintenance procedures, inspecting, troubleshooting, replacing, repairing worn or failed parts, installing mechanical upgrades, and installing new or relocated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment to OEM specifications including all safety systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, replace, repair worn or failed parts
- Install mechanical upgrades
- Install new or relocated equipment
- Additional responsibilities and opportunities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in industrial maintenance mechanical work in a manufacturing environment
- Aptitude and desire to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Able to work from verbal or written instructions with a strong desire to be hands-on with their work and to follow policies and procedures
- Aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures
- Problem-solving skills including troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
- Working knowledge of OSHA lock out/tag out regulations
- Knowledge and practical use of basic mechanical tools
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have the ability to successfully pass a drug screen.
