About the role

Are you experienced in **PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance** and looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? Custom Filters Direct is hiring a **Maintenance Mechanic / PLC Controls Technician** to support and maintain our automated production equipment. This is a critical role focused on minimizing downtime, troubleshooting issues in real time, and improving overall equipment performance.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st Shift). Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Weekly Pay Salary based on experience
Medical, Dental, Vision & Paid Time Off (PTO) offered after 90 days

Position Overview

In This Role, You Will Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment in real time
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
This is a **hands-on role** working directly on the production floor with a focus on keeping operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues
  • Work directly with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvements
  • Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency

Qualifications

  • Strong PLC troubleshooting experience required
  • Experience with **Allen Bradley controls preferred**
  • Solid electrical and mechanical background
  • Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and independently
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and working with equipment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
