Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Mauser Packaging Solutions is dedicated to helping its customers achieve better sustainability through packaging. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing quality production.

Responsibilities

• Follows and implements all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Repairs basic mechanical components and replaces parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
• Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problems.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Lubricates and cleans machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.
• Accomplishes all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.
• Fulfills all safety rules and procedures, including the Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and observes operations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, and diagrams.
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions.
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrating personal responsibility, and performing all assigned duties.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $28.00- $32.00 an hour. The exact pay offered will depend on candidate's experience, skills, etc.
