This position requires knowledge and experience in electrical and HVAC. Summary: Maintains physical structures, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems of industrial establishment. May assist Machine Maintenance Technicians in repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, if needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and punctual attendance is requiredOvertime hours may be required, if needed Uses multimeters, manifold gauges, circuit testers to identify and diagnose issues. Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire.Bends, cuts, threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes.Diagnoses and repairs HVAC issues, including fans, air handlers, condensers, heaters, and ventilation systems.Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.Operates welding machine to repair or join metal parts.Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.Paints building surfaces, machines, or equipment to prevent corrosion. As Needed To Assist Machine Maintenance Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors.Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.Replace or repairs machine belts.Troubleshoots electric control circuits, including using a multimeter. This position will be required to have Hazardous Waste Management Training, either in-house training or other equivalent training in Hazardous Waste. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions both written and oral. Ability to write simple correspondence. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
