About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of plant operational equipment.
Schedule
Monday – Friday day shift, 7:00am – 3:00pm (no lunch). Overtime, call-out availability, weekends, holidays, and an on-call rotation are required.
Pay
$32.09 per hour

Responsibilities
- Regular use of hand tools, power tools, measurement devices including calipers, welders, pipe fitting equipment, cutting torch, etc.
- Lifting and rigging using cables and slings
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps (centrifugal, rotary, and positive displacement)
- Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment; plan and take corrective action; make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
- Working knowledge of laser alignment, ultrasonic, and lubrication
- Replace gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives, and belt drives
- Timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, and policies
- Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklift, aerial lift, JLG, scissor lift, and other equipment
- Must be willing to train for advancement
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-3 years or more of major industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to work primarily in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and a high level of dedication to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in a plant or similar environment
- Certifications for welding, electrical training, or industrial maintenance training
