Job Description
- Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Assists in advanced levels of troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair throughout the plant.
- Keeps accurate preventative maintenance records.
- Supports the daily maintenance of automated equipment.
- Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
- Performs related work and other job assignments as required.
Skills and Abilities
- Show basic and advanced level competencies in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair throughout the plant.
- Industrial electricity
- Troubleshoot from wiring diagrams and blueprints
- General Electric Knowledge (install conduit, outlets, etc.)
- Troubleshoot electrical mechanical motor controls
- Robotic software – sensors, programming (Fanuc)
- Robotic controls – mechanical and electrical hardware (Fanuc)
- Troubleshoot hydraulics circuits
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge and Aptitude
- Mechanical Drive systems – Gears, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, rollers
- General fabrication skills – welding, torching, milling, lashing, pipe, threading, etc.
- Troubleshoot logic and understanding components of PLC (hardware and software)
- Troubleshoot from wiring diagrams and blueprints
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work well with others
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Physical requirements include ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs, climb extension ladders, stepladders and stairs. Bend/stoop and squat repetitively during an 8-hour shift. Regularly kneel, stretch/reach, walk extensively throughout the plant for an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations
Education/Experience
- Candidates must have a journeyman’s card or qualified certificate.
- Candidates currently working toward or obtained a 2-year technical degree with 5 years of documented industrial experience will be considered.
