Industrial Machine Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift

Starting wage range based on years and relevant experience: $25-$33 per hour.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician provides general facility and production equipment maintenance and repair, supporting other maintenance associates in their day-to-day activities. This role involves preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, troubleshoot, or repair equipment, including pushing heavy carts and dollies and lifting moderately heavy objects (use good judgment on weight limits and movement techniques).
• Perform maintenance tasks outdoors in varying temperatures and climate conditions, with exposure to dust, dirt, grease, grime, and typical shop conditions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics.
• Read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine controllers, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and maintain records of PM and repairs.
• Use prints, operating manuals, sketches, and diagrams to dismantle, assemble, troubleshoot, or repair equipment.
• Communicate with OEM service representatives for part ordering and problem-solving.
• Work safely, report and repair safety hazards immediately, and communicate equipment issues to the next shift or production supervisor.
• Use and care for tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education and/or GED preferred, or a combination of experience, training, and education.
• Preferred: Two-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or five years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Pass required company skill-level testing.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and machine manuals.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.
• Ability to use formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and adjustable measuring instruments.
• Process knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC).
• Working knowledge of maintenance methods, practices, tools, and materials for buildings, equipment, and machinery.
• Working knowledge of plastic molding machine operations.
• Ability to operate common types of machine shop equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to collaborate with associates, supervisors, and management.
• Sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks, including:
  • Continuously lifting or moving light-weight material (up to 10 lbs).
  • Frequently lifting or moving average-weight material (25–60 lbs).
  • Occasionally lifting or moving heavy-weight material (over 60 lbs).
  • Climbing equipment, ladders, and steep stairs.
• Quality and quantity performance standards should be attained within one to three years under normal supervision.
