Responsibilities
- Abide by all safety guidelines and working instructions of AdvanSix
- Work on a wide variety of refrigeration/HVAC equipment
- Train for and perform other tasks as needs are presented
- Assist with modernization of buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment as necessary
- Perform maintenance items such as bearing, motor, belt, pulley, and filter replacements
- Participate in the Maintenance Excellence program
- Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of heavy industrial/commercial HVAC service, installations, and repairs experience through an apprenticeship program, classroom education, and/or on-the-job training
Qualifications
- Familiarity with computers preferred; ability to retrieve information and navigate through systems
- Execution of preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, up to 480V AC
- Training and/or experience on process equipment refrigeration systems a plus
- Experience with chillers, ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems and all components involved in these processes a plus
- Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Ability to work in an industrial environment with prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to complete and maintain internal safety training requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team, be dependable, and cross-functional
- Soldering skills
- Knowledge of leak checks
- Knowledge of pneumatic valves and controls a plus
- Familiarization with flooded chillers a plus
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $44.44. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay and equity awards.
