Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Industrial Grinder for the 2nd shift.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 2:30pm to 11:00pm and Friday 12:30pm to 9:00pm
Pay
$20.21/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential
Responsibilities
- Grind and polish metal
- Use spot welding equipment, weld appropriate parts together based on specifications
- Run samples and check product quality against prints
- Adjust spot welder to properly weld material based on thickness and finish
- Perform all quality checks, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP
- Change welding tips as necessary
- Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates currently residing within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered
- Eaton will not sponsor employment-based immigration for this position (e.g., CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, O-1, TN, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Spot-welding experience
- Basic computer skills
Position Criteria
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending
- Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and maintain close attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team responsible for assembling an entire product or component
- Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
