Cardinal Staffing is interviewing for a Forklift Repair Mechanic position in Holly, MI.
About the role
We're looking for candidates who will be comfortable working overtime and weekends for a company that has a lot of growth opportunities.
Pay
$23 – $30 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm plus occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose issues with propane and diesel forklifts.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance (PMs) according to manufacturer specifications to prevent equipment downtime.
- Component Repairs: Repair and replace components as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all forklifts are in safe working condition and meet OSHA safety and operational standards.
- Fully participate in and support the Delta Tube & Fabricating Quality System.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures especially concerning safety and personal conduct.
- Perform all other duties as listed in procedures and/or assigned by managers.
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on experience as a forklift mechanic, industrial maintenance mechanic, or heavy equipment technician preferred, but not required.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Must possess own tools.
- Ability to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or bend for extended periods.
- Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform other movements required for maintenance for the entire shift.
