About the Role
Primary Objective: Plant Engineering Life Safety Technician
Shift: E Shift: 8 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Provide cultural leadership by exemplifying core values
- Coordinate, plan, and perform equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements
- Contractor management
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and be directly involved in SOP development and training
- Support root cause investigations and implementation of solutions
- Serve as technical expert and primary focus on life safety systems: system 16 control panel connections to remote gas detectors/transmitters to track toxic gases and combustible vapors, vertex TGMS and chemcassette technology, and fire systems
- Troubleshoot 4-20mA analog or digital sensor inputs for TGMS
- Operation, response, and repair for alarms; understanding of programming for relays, horns, shutoff valves, and ventilation
- Unloading and receipt of chemical deliveries, storage of chemicals, review of certificate of analysis
- Develop annual plans for activities within equipment area as well as capital planning
- Ensure site uptime and equipment reliability
- Management of chemical inventory, FIFO
- Hazardous waste handling and resist cannister changes
- Maintain supply and quality parameters of chemical and slurry distributions, including drum/tote/isotainer chemical offloading to bulk tanks, chemical batch processing, SPC chart monitoring of processes, and chemical sampling
- Maintain equipment uptime through maintenance activities and troubleshooting of system equipment, including valves, filters, piping, pumps, instrumentation, and other components
- Operate system equipment via HMI for batch creation and/or distribution
- Monitor and operate HVAC equipment and respond to key equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, and chillers critical for clean room operations
- Operate other key equipment: scrubber systems, fire system, vacuum, compressed air
- Operate the DI water plant
- Perform system rounds and rotate equipment
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures
- Initiate and drive continuous improvements
- Uphold area upkeep and 5S principles
- Operate heavy machinery including forklift and pallet jack
- Collaborate cross-departmentally and escalate as required
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks
- Record keeping and reporting as required
Requirements
- 2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military training/manufacturing work experience
- 5 years’ experience operating life safety systems
- 8-10 years related work experience in manufacturing or operations
- Mechanical inclination and ability to troubleshoot system equipment
- Good communication and attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset
- US Citizenship (required for government security clearance)

- Personal protective equipment requirements
- Don fab attire as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant completed vocational/professional training of at least 3 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Boiler license
- Building automation experience
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certificate
Pay
The hourly range for this role is $42.46 - $63.69 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors, including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
