About the role
The Industrial Engineering Technician supports time studies, methods, and capacity work at a Carrier manufacturing facility, helping the industrial engineering team continuously improve production lines.
Responsibilities
- Supports time studies, methods analysis, and line balancing.
- Updates standard work, capacity data, and visual aids.
- Assists in updating layouts and material-flow diagrams.
- Collects and analyzes productivity and efficiency data.
- Supports continuous-improvement and cost-reduction projects.
- Supports the optimization of production lines.
- Sets ERP/MES parameters for labor hours.
Requirements
- Technical or associate degree.
- 2+ years of experience supporting industrial engineering or manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Degree or trade school experience in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with time studies, methods analysis, and line balancing.
- Ability to develop and update standard work, capacity data, and visual aids.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic data-analysis tools.
- Ability to read layouts, blueprints, and process documentation.
- Experience supporting production line optimization and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean principles.
Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $158,000.00. Factors affecting pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
