Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform time studies and analysis of assembly operations to streamline and eliminate bottlenecks
- Transition key processes from batch assembly to one piece flow
- Optimize fixture and tooling storage and presentation
- Develop Workstation standards and POU inventory and tool staging
- Work with QE's on root cause analysis and develop poke yoke's to eliminate quality issues
- Work with supervisors to implement a sustainable productivity tracking process
- Create presentations to report on current projects to the Leadership team
Required Skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
- Able to work under pressure and deadlines
Required Experience
- Some background or understanding of manufacturing processes with related coursework around process improvement or continuous improvement
- Completed courses on time studies and standard work analysis or experience in this area
- Completed courses in manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, production and process planning, facility planning and inventory control, or human factors and ergonomics
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
- Frequent work near heavy machinery or equipment
- Demands of a manufacturing environment
Required Education
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university preferred
