About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Allegion brands in creating security products for various applications.
  • Create product concepts through sketching and physical mock-ups.
  • Work with CAD software to model and render products.
  • Collaborate on design reviews and presentations.
  • Manage time and work on multiple projects.
  • Engage in creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external customers.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a degree in industrial design from an accredited school.
  • Strong technical skills and a passion for excellence.
  • Willingness to learn and interest in architecture or interior design styling.
  • The ability to create product concepts through sketching and physical mock-ups.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe suite software.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical construction, manufacturing, materials, and processes.
  • The ability to present ideas, receive feedback, and alter designs accordingly.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with peers.
  • The ability to manage time and work on multiple projects.
  • Active and attentive listening and creative problem solving.
  • A commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail.
  • An interest and enthusiasm for aesthetics and styling related to architecture.
  • The ability to effectively work in a team environment with functions outside Industrial Design.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
  • Working knowledge of Creo and Keyshot software is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in industrial design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite software.
  • Understanding of mechanical construction, manufacturing, materials, and processes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and creativity.
  • Interest in aesthetics and styling related to architecture.
