About the role
Description Amazon co-ops across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns and Co-Ops should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Students should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day.
Responsibilities
- Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products.
- Work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team to design and develop physical fulfillment systems around the globe.
- Design, develop, test, and deliver solutions (e.g., workflow/process path layout, space utilization/efficiency, ergonomics, etc.).
- Use appropriate technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, SketchUp, KeyShot, BIM360 etc.) to deliver high quality, operationally excellent models and designs (e.g., safety, high quality, and performance) that meet the needs of the customer.
- Invent, develop, and refine solutions to ensure they are meeting customer, business, operational, technology, and team goals.
- Understand business impact of designs and show good judgement when making design suggestions, ensuring they meet performance and scaling targets.
- Technical report writing of process and best practices.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a co-op program at your school in the US.
- Have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in your studies after your co-op concludes.
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a academic program that is physically located in the United States.
- Knowledge of IE fundamentals like basic spatial layouts of processing lines or process paths.
- Experience using one or more of the following technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot, etc.) to deliver high quality models and designs.
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 6 month internship maximum.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Experience writing functional requirements to create new tools or refine processes/policies.
Qualifications
- Are enrolled in a co-op program at your university in engineering or equivalent.
- Are enrolled in or have completed a academic program that is physically located in the United States.
- Knowledge of IE fundamentals like basic spatial layouts of processing lines or process paths.
- Experience using one or more of the following technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot, etc.) to deliver high quality models and designs.

Pay
$80,200.00 - $137,100.00 USD annually
