About the role

Are you passionate about designing smarter operations and driving measurable performance gains? As an Industrial Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our multi-building distribution campus. You'll blend engineering rigor with strategic insight to improve productivity, optimize labor programs, and design facilities that support world-class supply chain performance.

In this highly visible role, you'll partner closely with campus leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to build a prioritized roadmap of productivity improvements using activity-based costing, benchmarking, and time-study analytics. Your work will directly influence key business decisions, operational efficiency, and KPI performance across the supply chain. You'll be a trusted advisor, improvement catalyst, and technical expert—driving initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and scalability while supporting business case development and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Optimize Facilities: Develop and maintain CAD drawings (interior and exterior) for complex, multi-building campuses. Translate business and operational requirements into layouts that support distribution, transportation, and future growth.
  • Align Operations with Campus Design: Analyze workflows and material handling needs to recommend improvements to core processes, MHE requirements (racking, forklifts, totes, etc.), and space utilization.
  • Build World-Class Labor Standards: Develop and maintain engineered labor standards using MOST methodology. Train and educate teams on MOST best practices and drive adoption across operations.
  • Continuously Improve Productivity: Review and refine labor models to simplify operations and enhance performance. Incorporate evolving strategies such as scheduling changes, process updates, seasonal demand, and environmental factors.
  • Shape Strategic Business Decisions: Act as the industrial engineering liaison for key stakeholders, supporting business case development, productivity validation, and capital planning. Maintain strong partnerships with external industry groups and subject-matter experts.
  • Support Engineering & Site Development: Facilitate engineering requirements and permitting for site plans, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, and HVAC.
  • Optimize Incentive Programs: Partner with Operations and Finance to review and enhance incentive plans, validate performance, adjust baselines, and ensure plans drive the right behaviors and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and/or managing Engineered Labor Standards (preferred)
  • Proven track record driving productivity improvements in distribution or supply chain environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Project Management Certification (required)
