About the role
Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time licensed Industrial Electrical Foreman to join our team within the Industrial Division.
Responsibilities
- Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
- Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take-off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and compute electrical.
- Able to read, to understand, and to interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics and blueprints.
- Establish a site-specific safety plan and evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
- Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
- Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule affect.
- Plan the project’s material, equipment, and labor needs for timely arrival to and from the site.
- Monitor daily progress to the short-term and long-term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
- Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
- Cook up and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules.
- Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards.
- Able to communicate technical information, listen to instructions and ask questions, as necessary.
- Able to climb ladders, sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping, or kneeling and physical ability to perform tasks.
- Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
- Able to manage more than one project at a time.

Qualifications
- Current Utah Journeyman license.
- Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
- Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, such as indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing.
- Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.).
- Team player with acknowledging contributions by others.
- Have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Bluebeam, Word and Excel.
- Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, automation and controls, or wastewater treatment.
- Have previously successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 2 to 50 personnel, meeting safety, quality and production goals.
