Industrial Cook-2nd Shift

Work Location: Fairfield. This position requires the ability to work overtime, including varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs. This is a 2nd shift position with core hours of 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

About the role

As a Panning Operator, you will be at the heart of how our candy looks, tastes, and performs. Your attention to detail ensures every batch is coated, flavored, and colored to exact standards, directly shaping the quality of our finished products. You will help keep our processes efficient, safe, and continuously improving. Your work supports consistency, food safety, and great-tasting candy that customers love—batch after batch.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of coating pans as required.
• Accurate measurement and addition of flavors and/or colors into panning syrups, as directed by written instructions.
• Operate Redzone manufacturing software via tablets to record production data, complete required quality checks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the production of intermediate flavor blends and other specific products for use in confectionery, as directed by written instructions, usually in English.
• Gathering, mixing, and packaging of specific materials involved in the production of confectionery product.
• Calculate, compile, and report production volumes as assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform the safe operation of manual or powered pallet jack; may also be required to operate powered lift equipment including specialized (narrow aisle) equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience or nine months structured on-the-job training.
• Education equivalency is acceptable.

Pay

$32.41 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.
