Industrial/Commercial Overhead Door Technician, Lead

Position Summary

The Commercial Overhead Door Technician installs, services, repairs, inspects, and maintains commercial and industrial overhead door systems. This position represents Precision Garage Door Service professionally while delivering safe, high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, rolling sheet doors, fire doors, grilles, shutters, dock equipment, and commercial operators.
• Perform preventive maintenance and certified door inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operator control issues.
• Read work orders, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Communicate findings and recommendations with customers.
• Complete digital work orders, inspections, and parts documentation.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial/industrial overhead door systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use power tools.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
