Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration, boiler, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, heating, water treatment, and related systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system testing using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Assemble, align, and install piping, valves, pumps, compressors, controls, motors, and related components.
  • Operate and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipment, conduct fire pump testing, monitor system readings, and respond to alarms and performance variances.
  • Maintain labeling, complete required documentation, and support equipment cleaning and sanitation activities.
  • Maintain required certifications and comply with safety, GMP, SQF, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Work overtime, including weekends, as required to meet manufacturing needs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • Ammonia/NH3 experience is a plus (Ammonia Operator 1 or RETA).
  • Must work in a team environment.
  • Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules.
  • Must be able to inspect all job-related equipment and perform various job-related tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Must be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Must perform all other duties as assigned.

Schedule

The Refrigeration Mechanic I works 11:00pm-7:00am, 5 days per week.
