Individual Support Specialist
ServiceNet, a leading Human Services agency, is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team supporting adults with autism in home and community settings.
About the role
As an Individual Support Specialist, you will engage in fun recreational outings, assist the individuals you support in skill-building opportunities and social situations, and model appropriate behavior. You will help individuals meet their chosen goals, become more independent, and engage with their community. Staff completes related records and summaries as specified and must be able to transport individuals in their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
Responsibilities
- Engage, assist, instruct, motivate, and monitor individuals in social/recreational, skill-building, and family-directed activities.
- Learn the individualized services of each person and participate in their routine implementation.
- Accompany individuals to appointments, social functions, recreational activities, and other planned events as requested by the supervisor, including providing transportation.
- Complete related records as required and instructed by supervisor per standard format, ensuring confidentiality and safekeeping of documents.
- Respond and relate to routine inquiries, visitors, the individual’s family, friends, and allied staff or professionals as outlined in program standards or by the program supervisor.
- Submit weekly or bi-weekly timesheets with summaries of activities in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle available for all scheduled hours.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 or more years of experience supporting individuals with autism in home or community settings.

Pay
$18.50/hour + mileage reimbursement.
Schedule
Per-diem position with cooperative scheduling for regular days of the week and hours (days and hours vary).
Locations: Pittsfield, Lanesborough, Dalton, and Hinsdale.
