About the role

The Nile Basin Initiative Secretariat is in the process of recruiting a highly qualified and competent professional for the position of Deputy Executive Director/Head of Basin Wide Program (DED/HBWP). This is a regional recruitment position to be based at the NBI Secretariat (Nile SEC) at Entebbe in Uganda.

Responsibilities

• Support the Recruitment (interview level) of Deputy Executive Director/Head of Basin Wide Program (DED/HBWP)
• Assist in the recruitment/interview process of the shortlisted applicants
• Prepare the interview structure
• Create interview questions
• Conduct interviews
• Evaluate candidates' performance

Requirements

NBI Secretariat seeks an individual consultant with relevant experience in recruitment and interview processes. The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience in conducting recruitment and interview processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of Nile Basin Initiative and its programs

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree and possess at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including experience in similar roles within the Nile Basin Initiative or related organizations.
