Indirect Tax Manager (Sales & Use Tax)

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end sales and use tax compliance, including registrations, tax return preparation, review, and filing across multiple US jurisdictions
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, payments, and reconciliations
  • Maintain and improve tax determination, reporting, and compliance processes
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal and Operations teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions
  • Review and maintain taxability matrices and exemption certificate processes
  • Affiliate with tax technology and automation initiatives, including optimization of NetSuite and other tools
  • Support special projects such as nexus studies, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), and process improvements
  • Coordinate real and personal property tax filings, assessments, and related compliance activities across different US locations
  • Work across different business units within the group and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage on tax risks monitoring and quarter-end and year-end closing activities related to indirect taxes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field (CPA or MST preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect tax, with strong focus on US sales & use tax
  • Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and filings
  • Experience handling or supporting state tax audits
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite (or similar ERP systems) required
  • Experience with tax engines (e.g., Avalara, Vertex) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of US indirect tax regulations and nexus rules
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills

Benefits

Competitive compensation and benefits packages. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, the level at which the candidate is hired, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law.

Base Compensation Range: $111,900—$139,800 USD
