Indirect Procurement Buyer

Responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing activities to obtain quotes for goods and services – Conduct Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), Information (RFI) activities
• Develop, gain approval, & execute purchasing strategies for assigned commodities/suppliers
• Organize and create presentations for management approval.
• Manage supply base using strategic life cycle management activities
• Negotiate pricing
• Review service contracts
• Support internal teams for purchasing needs
• Identify potential new vendors and support onboarding
• Build supplier relationships and monitor industry trends/characteristics
• Utilize market and historical data to benchmark pricing and leverage negotiations
• Create and issue purchasing orders (POs)
• Track orders
• Ensure invoices are getting paid

Requirements

• Experience with sourcing activities, negotiating contracts and formulating policies (2-4+ yrs)
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite
• Strong Negotiation skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in General Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or relevant experience

Skills

• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience with contracts preferred
