About the Role
Model a high-energy, world-class service and sales culture within the branch and credit union. Provide support to loan services and operations to serve members, process loans according to established policies, update member records, and assist Underwriters and Senior Management with day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Live the First Community Credit Union Mission, Vision, and Values within the organization and communities.
- Instill an energetic, world-class service and sales culture to continually improve member service.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing members and dealership partners.
- Follow established FCCU lending policy guidelines.
- Review loan decisions on applications and verify they are within authorized limits and policy for each underwriter.
- Process and book approved loan requests, ensuring collateral information is correct and secure.
- Verify member information, signatures, witnesses, and documentation accuracy.
- Review and update member record files, including credit ratings, loan screens, documents, IDs, proof of income, and purchase orders.
- Review collateral insurance on loans and request evidence of coverage from members.
- Verify the credit union’s security interest on titled documents and request discharges as needed.
- Ensure funds are disbursed on approved loans and that funding and booking screens are accurate.
- Back up the Title Specialist in filing lien instruments and follow up on missing collateral reports.
- Process paid loan documents and related tasks.
- Follow all state and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist in promoting a positive credit union image during non-working hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the credit union’s goals and objectives.
- Answer payoff requests as needed.
- Review and verify task completion and associated checklists.
Requirements
- Passionate and enthusiastic with world-class service and leadership skills.
- Strong clerical and accuracy skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FCCU products and services.
- Knowledge of credit union loan policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to credit union operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Intermediate math skills (decimals, percentages, fractions).
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work well with others, follow directions, and work independently.
- Detail-oriented with excellent typing and data entry skills.
Qualifications
High school education and one year of experience in the teller and/or member service area of a financial institution. Compliance with government regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and The USA Patriot Act, is required.
