Indirect Global Category Manager - HR Services & Temp Services

About the role

The Procurement Manager at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for HR Services and Temp Labor categories. They also lead cross-functional supplier qualifications for these categories and are accountable for securing total cost of ownership reductions.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement category and supplier strategies with stakeholders to achieve year-over-year cost reduction.
• Strategically interface with suppliers and build strong, strategic supplier relationships.
• Understand and leverage supplier market dynamics and intelligence to inform strategy.
• Maintain compliance with Source-to-Pay processes for the assigned category and suppliers.
• Drive supplier selection, develop supplier base, and identify new suppliers.
• Ensure alignment across stakeholders, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and broader company/functional strategy.
• Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers.
• Create and update supplier lists according to category strategy.
• Work closely with key stakeholders, member organizations, and corporate functions to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
• Identify and define procurement best practices both within and external to Zimmer Biomet and ensure their implementation in the assigned category.

Requirements

• 5+ years of track record in Strategic Procurement.
• Ability to develop high-impact procurement strategies.
• Previous experience with assigned categories required.
• Cost analysis and management experience.
• Leadership skills.
• Internal stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent market information analysis skills and supply market knowledge.
• Good conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
• At least five years of procurement experience, ideally with the assigned category.
• Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
• Specialized Procurement or related certification or training strongly preferred.
• Average travel expectations, including the ability to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays up to 25%, occasional regional travel, and global travel.

Pay

$113,407 - $142,000

Schedule

Regular travel and occasional regional travel may be required.
